Finally got to watch Superman.

Knew I'd love it.

Gunn knocked it tf out of the park. Rachel isn't my favorite actress but she's great as Lois. David is perfection.

I know everyone is calling Vasil Ghurko as Netanyahu, but I really see Putin with Boris Johnson's body (I mean, an unprovoked attack on another country, claiming it's to "free it's people" come on, it's PUTIN). I say that as a critic of Netanyahu. But then again, people don't see Oct. 7th as provocation so not shocking.

But I know people see what they want to see, that's the point, it's not one specific inspiration and anyone who claims it is...well...

It occurred to me upon adding some new folks to my F-List, *waves to new people* that there may be some things that they need/want to know to 'keep up' as it were. So, here it goes.

Update:

Becky was living with Medra & I. She'd burned bridges with pretty much everyone else. Veeeeeery long story short, there was a fight and she attempted suicide while I tried to comfort Medra. The Becky we knew is gone. She says what she thinks people wants to hear, is obsessed with her appearance and self centered, sleeping most of the time and not taking the shit ton of pills she'd been prescribed. She promised not to drink, we let go a lot but there's only so much we could do.


Had a fulltime job. The shop was not for me and told me (a week in, working with a new system and they wouldn't let me do anything, made me do what I've been doing for over 10 years in a completely different way) that I needed to "impress them more". This was the day after I watched the woman who was like a little sister being escorted off by EMTs after being talked down. I quit shortly thereafter.

Had a great job at a cool, sold things more my style (and not pretentious) the people were fun and lovely, I was on a trial basis for 2 weeks at $10 an hour then up to $12 on the books. The first Monday Medra had to have emergency surgery, despite offering to come in until I was needed (to bring her home) they told me to take the day. Okay cool. Then the next Saturday, I covered for the other new girl. On my way to the T, I was nearly hit by a car then fell really hard on my knees, using my arm to brace myself. I kept going, made a sling out of my scarf during the majority of work (got an actual sling during lunch, after 3PM.) I went to get an Xray the next day because it hurt something terrible and it turns out I broke my fucking elbow. I emailed them, letting them know what happened but that I'd still be happy to come in and do what I could until it healed, despite the doctor telling me I shouldn't.

I got fired.

I finally got my check from them, so I'm thinking about reporting them for breaking labor laws.

After that happened I began looking at internships in my field, since most jobs want at least 2 years experience – HA! and I prepped everything to apply for one at the Museum of Fine Arts only for it to be for undergrads only. Which they took over a week to fucking tell me since they took 5 days to respond and not answer my question. Sent them a response and another 4 days.



That combined with the outcome of the election has had me preeeeetty depressed. Got my grades the day after the election (2 weeks late.) UK/Scotland's grading system is weird, but I'm still upset I didn't do better on my dissertation.



My old store, Xylem, has moved an hour and a half away so it's not really feasible for me. BUT it looks like there will be a pop up store version, and I just got word it's a go! So I'll be there full time for at least a month!

Gained weight, shocking I know. But I've got a new doctor, got blood work and flu shots. I'm trying to adult, really I am.

May post later with thoughts on the shit show that is our political situation. [shrugs]

MY BROTHER'S ENGAGED.


I'M GETTING AN AWESOME SISTER IN LAW.

Hey errybody! Happy New Year and all that jazz. I haven't been around much, I know and I'm sorry. Hope yours is going better than mine is. And the funny thing is, I had a pretty good New Years Eve, and went into 2013 with a positive outlook. Here's what's happened thus far:

- Jan. 1st : The battery on my computer dies because it clearly knows how to party! I have to drop $130 to replace it. Oh, and to get to the Apple Store needed to get a new T pass so that was another 70.

- THERE HAS BEEN CONFIRMATION OF THE BY-OTCH LEAVING AFTER SHE GRADUATES. THIS HAS BEEN THE ONE BEACON OF HOPE AS OF LATE.



- Medra, Jess and Hope have been sick, and I've managed to not be. I've had this nagging morning headache somedays, and a little congestion but nothing major. Until this morning. Sore throat, congestion, groggy head the works. Also, Boston is on High Alert for the flu. Now, I got a flu shot, but it only protects against like, 60% of the flu viruses out there, so FUN.

- Oh, and to top it all off, Greg (the guy at the coffee shop that I really liked and gave me mixed signals) well, confusion cleared right up yesterday! He'd been acting weird around me, like he'd meet my eyes but would barely acknowledge me at all for a while. So I was like, fine you clearly don't like me now I can get over you. This went on for about 2-3 weeks. Then he's my bro again, we're all buddy buddy. Yesterday I got my coffee and he met my eyes briefly but was otherwise too distracted by shorts and leggings girl, with her woolen hat and vintage T-shirt. I mean really, it's fucking snowing you idiot. Whatever. Fine. That's settled, not into me. Then I was leaving work and I saw the owner Lucy (who mentioned to my boss previously that she and her co-workers like watching Greg and I interact) and was going to wave once I passed the column. Her head went up, I passed the column, went to wave and saw Greg with his tongue down short's girls' throat. FUN.

Called Mum last night, had a good cry and woke up feeling like shit physically and emotionally. MOTHER FUCK.

So I truly hope all of your New Years are going better than mine.

Hey folks! I'll update soon about the movie with Greg & friends so don't think I've forgotten!

If anyone on FB likes the Borgias may I recommend the game? I'm not one for FB games (or FB for that matter) but I'm hooked! You can add friends and they become your family and you get money for visiting them. You work your way up in society, talking with people, poisoning, bribing, assassinating and spying on people. As you work up the ranks you can build up your home so that you can profit by it. You also fight people and can steal their shit! IT'S AWESOME. Anyway, I run a house that makes 80 silver every hour, so I'm waiting for 6 minutes to collect before I work on my room. Wish me luck (mostly with cleaning my room, but the game too!)

Also working on a 20in20 (barely started) and almost done with my entries for landofart challenge, I Will Go Down With This Ship. May be biting off more than I can chew. We shall see!
