You can count on me

Well, it looks like the tie breaker is currently tied. If it still is when I get home (in about 1 hour) I'll do one of two things: name out of a hat, or poll my roomies to decide a winner. Sound good?

This weird guy just came in and was talking to me about getting to know every aspect of running the store, because when I get older I want to run 500 of these shops and my boss wants to keep everything a secret from me--so I should invent ways of getting the information from him.

There was so much wrong with what he was saying so I kept my mouth shut, smiled and nodded. Got to like weirdos--they keep shit interesting.

Also, by the time I get home the next episode of Downton Abbey will be up and I'll also work on caps from last night's Merlin. If last night didn't break my heart, I'm sure DA will! ;D

I have a story to share with you all, but I shall start off by saying that at work we have this display wall, and one thing on display is a garden gnome bank.

Okay, so this guy comes in, and is sort of talking to himself, but not really--he's talking but not facing anyone. he starts asking what it is, I tell him what it is. He asks where it comes from...

Me:"Ehhh, folklore?"
Him: "but where? I've been seein' those like, everywhere for like, 4 or 5 years now!"
Me: "Ehh, well, I believe the folklore was big in Germany..."
Him: "I'll have to look that up!"
Me: "Yep. Kay."
Him: "What are they called?"
Me: "Gnomes."
Him: "Yeah, gonna have to look that up! I've been seein' em' like, everywhere!"
Me: "Yeah, they're sneaky."

WTF.

2. Everyday/other day (or so) I'll make a poll and you'll have to vote for the two women and two men you find the least attractive (and later on just one of each). The four celebrities with the most votes each round will be eliminated.

Good day despite officially not getting in to 20inspirations again. I was in charge of the store today, opened and closed and it felt nice to have someone who trusted me so much. We did rather well for a Saturday too, probably since it was so nice out and it's Tax Free Weekend in MA. I was able to play my own music, redo some of what we have on display when we sold the last of a few things, dusted and mopped.

Monday I'm opening then Alexis is coming in to close. It's her final shift, she got a job through her school so obviously less of a commute.

Mum & Dad came into visit. I missed them! We went out to dinner at the that opened next door, Abigail's and it was delicious! They drove me home and now I'm just hanging out.

Dad: Any plans for tonight?
Me: HAHAHAH, go home?
we all have a good chuckle

I'm so glad my parents understand me, and accept that I'm pretty much a home body.
