NYC Update
May. 23rd, 2007 07:58 pmHey all! So, I thought I'd give you all an update!
So, it turns out Sondra Grace (head of my department) is in fact a moron---she's not giving me credit for my internship.
ANYWAY...My feet hurt...I've been walking an average of 5 miles each day with all the returns and pick ups we do around the city. Which is mostly what I've been doing, and paper work. I'm hoping to get on set soon---but I've made some friends with the other interns which is good, and my boss, Diana is sooooo sweet! And what's even cooler, is the costume department for the movie 'Revolutoinary Roads' is two floors above us, and Leonardo DiCaprio's in it, Kate Winslet, and Kathy Bates! *weeeee* I want to get in the elevator and see one of them, I'd die happy.
And the offices for the third movie of the Borne series is also in the building! The Bourne Ultimatum it's called. Julia's in it again and I'm so excited. I'm right in the theatre district, and I'm learning the subway---properly! Hear that Ali, Jess NO MORE CONFUSION! *weeeeeee* There's this place, on 245 W29th St, it's called Manhattan Wardrobe Supplies (http://wardrobesupplies.com/store/) It's freaking awesome. From the best kind of fabric chalk, wig supplies, dyes, and distressing tools it's freaking amazing. Went there to pick up latex gloves and two gallons of fake blood. Finished reading the script yesterday---its fucked up. But kinda cool, in a majorly fucked up way.
They provide me breakfast (cereal, NY bagels---I'm bringing them home when I come!) and AMAZING muffins, and coffee of course. We get up to $9 for lunch too. And any food is up for grabs. Diana told me that in the past they made Friday pizza and cold beer day---which is stocked in the fridge, think they know I'm only 20?
Talk to you later, I'm off to make dinner (microwaving pizza leftovers! YUMM) and stake out the TV for LOST.
